About the author

Rhonda Byrne is an Australian television writer and producer, best known as the author of the self-help book "The Secret". She was born on March 12, 1951, in Melbourne, Australia. Before writing "The Secret", Byrne worked on a number of successful television shows in Australia, including "World's Greatest Commercials" and "Sensing Murder".

Byrne's interest in self-help and personal development began in the early 2000s, when she was going through a difficult period in her life. She began reading books on positive thinking and the law of attraction, and was struck by the idea that people can manifest their desires through their thoughts and beliefs.

Inspired by these teachings, Byrne decided to create a documentary film about the law of attraction. She began researching the topic and interviewing experts in the field, including Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale, and John Assaraf.

The resulting film, "The Secret", was released in 2006 and quickly became a global sensation. It featured interviews with a number of self-help gurus, who shared their insights on the power of positive thinking and the law of attraction. The film was accompanied by a book, also titled "The Secret", which expanded on the ideas presented in the film.

Since the success of "The Secret", Byrne has continued to write and produce self-help books and films. Her other books include "The Power", "The Magic", and "Hero". She has also produced a number of follow-up films, including "The Secret: Dare to Dream" and "The Secret: The Next Step".
